Proof of knowledge of Tajweed in the light of the Quran and Hadith
In the Holy Qur'an, Allah Almighty says:
Translation: Stay and read.
(Q: 29, Al-Muzmal: 4)
Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Syed Naali Al-Murtaza, the lion of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked, "What is the meaning of tarteel?
So he, may God be pleased with him, said:
Tartael is the name for reciting the letters well (with the attributes of Mukhari) and recognizing the places of Waqf.
Allah Almighty says:
Translation: Those to whom we have given the book recite it as they wish.
(Al-Baqarah: 121)
On the authority of Hazrat Sayyid Nazeed bin Thabit, may Allah be pleased with him, the saying of Sayyid al-Musarilin Shafi al-Muzabin, Rahma ll’Alamin, peace and blessings be upon him, is excellent:
Verily, Allah likes that the Qur'an be recited as it was revealed.
(Al-Jaami al-Saghir, Harf al-Hamza, p. 117, Hadith: 1897) Narrated by Umm al-Mu’minin Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa, may God be pleased with her.
The Prophet Sayyid Du Alam, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
A person who recites the Holy Quran skillfully will be with the most honorable and close angels.
(Muslim, Kitab al-Salat al-Hawlaat, chapter Fazl al-Mahir fi)
(Al-Qur'an, p. 400, Hadith: 798)
Hazrat Sayyiduna Imam Al-Jazri (may God have mercy on him) says in his book Al-Murda’ Al-Jazriyya:
Acquiring Tajweed is necessary and mandatory. Whoever does not recite the Holy Quran with Tajweed is a sinner.
This is because the Qur'an has been revealed by Allah the Exalted with Tajweed, and in the same way
with) has reached us from the Almighty.
(Preface Al-Jazariyah, Chapter Al-Tajweed, p. 3)
At another place, he said:
It is obligatory upon those who read the Holy Qur'an that from the beginning of the recitation of the Holy Qur'an
Know first.
The meanings and attributes of the alphabet so that they can pronounce according to the eloquent pronunciation.
Correcting letters is obligatory, and denying Tajweed is disbelief.
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
Undoubtedly, as much as Tajweed corrects the letters and avoids misreading, it is obligatory. It is in Bazzaz et al., "Al-Lahan Haraam Bila Khilaf (the melody is forbidden to everyone) who calls it bid'ah if he is ignorant, then he should be explained to him, and if he says it knowingly (knowing the obligation of Tajweed), then he is disbelieving, then he calls it bid'ah."
(Fatawa Rizwiyyah, 343/6)
It is known that the knowledge of Tajweed is the knowledge of right, obligation, and pure Sharia. Tajweed is confirmed by the definitive text of the Holy Qur'an, the frequent hadiths of the Companions, the Companions, and the consensus of the Imams (a.s.).
